February Online Workout Roundup

The best thing about these end-of-the-month roundups is that they remind me to put my rent check in the mail. Shit. It’s that time of month again. And on the brighter side, it means that March is upon us, which means St. Patty’s Day and Daylight Savings are so close I can taste them.

Anyway, here are a few workouts that I found around the web and tried out this month. Give ‘em a go next time you’re at a loss for how to work up a sweat.

Sexy Leg Workout Challenge from Tribesports

Sexy Legs Workout Challenge from Tribesports

Before I get to this workout challenge, I have an exciting announcement: I’m officially a Tribesports Blog Partner! Besides providing killer workouts like this legs challenge and the core challenge I posted last month, Tribesports offers an entire online community for health, fitness and sports enthusiasts. You create a profile, take fitness challenges (it’s a great way to track your progress and stay accountable for goals you set!) and join “tribes” based on your fitness interests. It’s kind of like a Facebook for fitness enthusiasts—only it’s way better than Facebook because no one will post 17,000 pictures of their newborn babies on your newsfeed. In addition to building out my own profile, I’ll be providing Tribesports with content from time to time, and will certainly keep you guys in the loop when I do!

As for this legs challenge, I completed it in 10 minutes and followed it up with the core challenge and then 30 minutes of cardio on the elliptical—a great workout! ORIGINAL WORKOUT HERE.

FitSugar’s No-Excuses Body Weight Workout

No Excuses Workout from FitSugar

This was a good one! One minute of high knees is no walk in the park, so right off the bat your heart rate is going to be pounding with this workout. The only alteration I made was doing skiers instead of running in place. ORIGINAL WORKOUT HERE.

No Nonsense Circuit Workout from Peanut Butter Fingers

No Nonsense Circuit Workout from PB FIngers

I did this workout from PB Fingers on my lunch break one day and loved it. I needed something quick that would hit all the major muscle groups, and the No Nonsense Circuit Workout took about 25 minutes and did just that. I found the squats-to-squat-jumps-to-lunges sequence to be the toughest part. ORIGINAL WORKOUT HERE.

10-Minute CrossFit Workout from Celebrity Trainer Yumi Lee

I like to workout in the morning because it leaves me energized for the day, but some days I wake up and am just NOT. FEELING. IT. (We all have those mornings, right?!) This CrossFit workout seemed perfect for one of those mornings because it’s only 10 minutes long. No matter how tired and grumpy I am, I can convince myself to suck it up for TEN minutes. And this routine really gets your heart rate up in just that short amount of time. If I were to do it as my only workout of the day, I would probably add a few more rounds of the circuit. Have you found any awesome workouts online lately?

  1. http://thehautebunny.wordpress.com/2012/05/08/brazilian-butt-workout/

I love this butt workout! It’s really long so to beat boredom, I jump rope for 5-10 minutes between each round.

  2. I have definitely done that No Nonsense workout before!! I love Pinterest for that kind of stuff. I’ve also recently lost some thigh fat from moves here:

  3. Great round-up! Love the idea and am super excited to scope out Tribesports. 😀

    • Thanks! I think you can search for me by name (Nicole Perry), but I’m admittedly not very active on it yet.
