What better way to kick of Thanksgiving week than by showing how thankful I am for all of you with a giveaway!?   9. Definitely thankful for a body that can move. Everytime I run I think about how great it is that I have legs that work!
    I love the pigeon stretch! I always have such tight hips and it feels great to stretch them out after a workout.

    My favorite stretches are for my neck and upper back where I seem to hold most of my tension. (Lateral head tilts to stretch the neck, head rolls, etc.).

  95. It’s so easy to put stretching on the back burner, but when I do it, I can tell the difference immediately afterwards. I enjoy all leg/thigh stretches because my legs get so tight.     • Also, when I do that bend over and hold my elbows stretch, when I put my chin towards my chest the stretch in my upper back and neck is almost unbearable. Is that normal? Is it just because I’m very tense/unflexible in that area?

    This year I am so thankful for my home and family. There are many homeless in this cold weather in our neighborhood (trying to bring them dinner this week). Family because my parents are still together, and in love after 23 years. It’s such a good example of solid marriage and family in this consumer and microwave society “I want it now” or “just toss it out and get a new one”! My family has taught me so much, and my husband comes from a broken home, where holidays were not looked forward to or celebrated around people and love. It’s a gift to share excitement and love this season with him!! Really, thankful for a lot!!

  182. I’m thankful for my health and the ability to work out in different ways! Every time I whine about not wanting to go for a run or do a strength training session I try to remember that a lot of people can’t do things like that.

  183. P.s. I love spinal twist – I have tight hips so that is a great one to do before bed! I also love doing a back extension lying over the foam roller before bed. Really calms me down so I can fall asleep.
