Is it just me or do you feel like you’re using Monopoly money when you pay for things using apps/rewards cards/etc.? I downloaded the sweetgreen app a couple months ago and every time I checked out by scanning my phone, it didn’t even register that I was spending actual money. Umm hello reality check. Guys. I looked at my bank statement the other day and had spent $112 on salads in ONE WEEK. That’s horrifying.
Anyway, after that I’ve been making a big effort to meal prep on Sunday or Monday and eat the majority of my meals AT HOME. It’s a great way to save money, so for my third installment of the #GRONKonomics series with 360 Savings from Capital One, I’m sharing what I prepped at the start of last week. My oven is currently broken, so the slow cooker is now my best friend …
Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken & Veggies from Damn Delicious
This was SO GOOD. I’m not a big meat eater, but Joe was obsessed with this and I loved the veggies over quinoa. Highly recommend trying it.

Peanut Butter Protein Bites
I don’t remember my exact ingredient ratios for these but honestly they weren’t amazing so it’s not even worth sharing the recipe (haha). I did protein powder, honey roasted peanut butter, raisins, vanilla extract and then rolled them in hemp seeds. Good, but nothing to write home about.

Butternut Squash Soup
I shared the recipe for this one earlier this week. So yummy!

Juice
I made a batch of green juice to enjoy the first couple days of the week.

Are you meal prepping this week? Whatcha makin’?

That butternut squash soup looks amazing! I am planning some spaghetti squash and meatballs this week before the big Thanksgiving dinner.
I definitely need sleep – I just read “slow cooker honey” as “slow hooker honey”.
I love to meal prep! That chicken and vegetables looks great. I am going to start making juice a head of time. Thanks for this informative post.

Last night my girlfriend and I prepped salads in mason jars for the remaining days of the work week and morning yogurts (greek yogurt, cashew butter and honey). We also cut up cheese cubes for snacks. Yum! And last, but not least, we made a big batch of vegetable barley soup in the crockpot for Thanksgiving (we’re both vegetarian and this is our contribution to dinner). The house smelled so good this morning!
Btw, I discovered your blog through Pinterest and I love it! I consider myself an advanced exerciser, and your workouts are KILLER! I haven’t felt burn like this in years. Thanks so much for posting some really great things. I’ll definitely be a regular viewer from now on.
So glad you found my blog and are liking the workouts, Dana! 🙂
The Peanut Butter protein bites don’t sound that bad! Might try them out 😂 my meal prep can get quite bland: chicken/fish with brown rice and veggies, so thanks for the inspiration to shake it up! Dani
Peanut Butter Bites looks so delicious. Yummy Awesome meal.
