Woohoo! I signed up for the course in July, let my textbook collect dust until November, have spent the past month studying, and finally took my CPT exam early this morning. This little piece of paper with the most unflattering ID picture of myself I’ve ever taken on it verifies that I am now officially a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. I know I already shared the exciting news on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and via smoke signal, but thought I’d throw up a quick blog post, too. 🙂
I’ve gotten a bunch of questions about why I chose to get certified through NASM and what I thought of the program, so I’ll definitely do a post covering all that good stuff next week. And if you have specific questions about it, leave a comment below and I’ll be sure to answer it in that post as well.
Can’t wait to take the ass kicking on P&I to the next level with my newfound knowledge of physical training!
Have a great weekend, everyone!

interested to hear your thoughts as i am studying and take mine in Feb!
Congratulations Nicole!!

That’s awesome! Congrats. I am studying currently. Any advice on studying and the exam? I guess that will be in the next post with why you chose NASM. 🙂 What are your plans now? Good luck to you.
Happy Training!

My current plans are to instruct Pilates Plus (training for that starts next month–woohoo!), spinning and continue to post workouts here. Maybe in-home personal training will come in the future. 🙂 Good luck on your exam, I’m sure you’ll rock it!

Monica.

CONGRATULATIONS, NICOLE!!!! Are there other requirements to the certification other than the test? Like CPR training?
Yes–you need your CPR/AED certification, which isn’t included in the price of the CPT cert. 🙂
Congratulations!!!
Did you ever post about the process, etc.? I can’t find it. Very interested to hear more!
