Hey guys! I don’t know about in other cities, but group painting/drinking outings have been taking over Boston lately. They’re always featured on daily deal sites like Groupon and Gilt, and it seems like every other day, there’s a picture popping up on my newsfeed of smiling, slightly inebriated people holding up their recreation of a scenic painting. I’ve been wanting to try it out for a while now, and lucky for me, the awesome people over at The Paint Bar reached out to me about coming in!
I had a great time, and it was a fun way to spice up a Tuesday night (as opposed to my usual Netflix marathon on the couch and 9pm bedtime). Paint Bar supplies you with everything, so you just show up and have a canvas, brushes, smock, paint and—most importantly—bar stocked with beer and wine for purchase, all waiting for you.
I figured I’d be all Type A about it and stress the whole time about the level of perfection of my painting, but the vibe is super laidback and fun, and the instructor, Ari, made creating our sunset seem so easy! The beer helped with that, too…
Anyway, just wanted to share a few pictures from the night. I know it has nothing to do with fitness, but getting to try new activities and venues around Boston is one of my favorite blogging perks! A big thanks to The Paint Bar for having me!
Alrighty, that’s all for today—just stopping in quickly on the blog before heading up to New Hampshire for my cousin’s wedding weekend. He and I have been super close all our lives, and he’s easily one of my favorite people on this Earth so I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with him.
