Kicks I’m Coveting: Sneaker Roundup

nike-force-wedgeNike sneaker wedges (there’s a similar version HERE that I’m also obsessed with)

I want to be a sneaker head so bad. Between bros trading Yeezys for kidneys and people camping outside of Nike stores seven days in advance of new Jordans, I think it would be a magical time to be a 19-year-old boy with moderate skateboarding skills and a neck tattoo. But maybe that’s just me.

Since I think there’s some sort of social law prohibiting adult women from being sneaker heads, I’ll stick to admiring “ill kicks” from afar and wearing the occasional subtle sneaker wedge. Here’s a fun roundup of sneakers and sneaker-ish shoes to take you into the long weekend (most are pricey, I know, but they’re just so fun to look at!).Fall sneaker roundup

Any other 90’s kids have a pair of moon shoes growing up? Saw these absurd Marc Jacobs things (not “shoes”–things) and starting having flashbacks … moonshoes-marc-jacobs

HAHAHA.

Am I drunk? I just read this post back to myself and am actually wondering if someone spiked my coffee this morning. What is going on in that first paragraph?? Did I really just spend ten minutes of my life making a moon shoe collage in Photoshop?! I’m going to quit while I’m (not) ahead and sign off—enjoy your long weekend! If any locals are sticking around the city, I’m subbing a tabata class at Burn tomorrow morning at 9am—it’ll be a good one!

Which sneakers are your favorite (the moon shoes, duh)? Any fun Labor Day plans?

signatureP.S. This shouldn’t need clarifying but for the record, no, I am not drunk. 😉

Since I have become more active in the past year, I have TOTALLY become a sneaker head, and it’s only getting worse. All I want to wear is sneakers! Today I just ordered a new pair (cheap on Amazon) for the trail race I have coming up later in October. I was pretty excited about having to get a new pair.

I didn’t ever get a pair of moonshoes… am I too old now?!

I love sneakers, I have loads of pairs and I would happily add all the ones in your photoshop collage to my collection. Please?!

LOL- I remember those moon shoes and was so pissed I never had a pair. Haha! Have a great weekend 🙂

  9. Moonshoes = a thousand children’s (and probably drunk adults) twisted ankles in every neighborhood across the country. Although I miss those things. Have you seen the Derek Lam Crosby 10 stuff with Athleta? There are some cute kicks for sure.
