Late Summer Stitch Fix Review

Stitch Fix Review - Summer 2016

If you follow me on Snapchat (nicoleperr), you already got a glimpse of my latest Stitch Fix delivery–all in all, I loved it! I got summer-to-fall transitional pieces and had I not been constrained to a budget (Joe and I just signed a lease for a new apartment YAY!!!) I would have kept four out of the five pieces–maybe even all five to get the discount.

Let’s look at what I got…

Late Summer Stitch Fix Delivery

Stitch Fix Review - Summer 2016Like my last fix, this one was pricey. Stitch Fix has been introducing a lot of new brands into their deliveries and I didn’t want to miss out on any so I purposely left my settings pretty wide open. That being said, you can adjust your preferences so don’t let the prices of mine deter you from trying out the service. I’ll probably lower mine eventually.

Elmira Collarless Jacket by Market & Spruce $78

Stitch Fix Review - Summer 2016

When I pulled this out of the box I thought it’d be a definite “no.” Wasn’t in love with the collar or the 3/4-length sleeves. When I styled it though for this blog post I definitely did warm up to it a bit. Stitch Fix Review - Summer 2016

OUTFIT DETAILS | Mika & Gala romper (old but similar style here) // Vince Camuto heels (sold out with this heel but the Lyssia Sandal is the same shoe just wedge) // Zara hat (old but similar style here) // Urban Outfitters choker

Bryer Silk Off Shoulder Dress by Amour Vert $158

Stitch Fix Review - Summer 2016Almost everyone on Snapchat said this is the one I should keep. It’s light and flowy and could be worn to a summer event or paired with black tights and boots for the fall. For some stupid reason I didn’t keep it. I DIDN’T KEEP IT GUYS WHYWHYWHYYYY. I’m actually going to request it again in my next fix so I can buy it which is kinda ridiculous but this regret just won’t quit. Stitch Fix Review - Summer 2016

OUTFIT DETAILS | ASOS heels (old, shop current selection here) // bag from a previous fix

Calahan Mesh Detail Knit Top by Olive & Oak $48

This tank is very much my style and the fabric was incredibly soft and comfortable. I actually already own a workout tank that’s pretty much the exact same design though, so in narrowing down what to keep, this one got eliminated. Stitch Fix Review - Summer 2016

OUTFIT DETAILS | Hudson jeans (old but shop current selection here) // Urban Outfitters choker

Cecelia Shirt Dress by Rails $154

Stitch Fix Review - Summer 2016This dress was insanely comfortable. I know it’s supposed to have a relaxed fit but I thought it was just a tad too big up top.  Stitch Fix Review - Summer 2016

OUTFIT DETAILS | Aldo booties (old but similar style here) // Urban Outfitters choker

Ellson One Pocket Top by Rails $148

Stitch Fix Review - Summer 2016This is the item I ended up keeping. Expensive for a button down shirt but the quality was incredibly high and I know I’ll wear this a ton (I also had $50 in referral credit so that helped justify it!). I have a similar plaid long sleeve from Target that I wear a lot tied around my waist but the fit is just off and the material feels too uncomfortable to actual wear as a shirt. Sometimes you get what you pay for!  Stitch Fix Review - Summer 2016

OUTFIT DETAILS | Steve Madden sandals // Mika & Gala shorts (old, similar style with fringe here) // Urban Outfitters choker

If you like any of the items I got and want to request them in your next fix you can leave your stylist a note or pin any of the above images to the Pinterest board you have linked to your profile. 🙂

What would you have kept?

I just bought my first Rails tee and love it. I can see why you kept them! And yes, you definitely need to get that off the shoulder dress again! It looks great on you!!

  2. Love that Amour Vert dress. They are such an amazing company; worth getting the dress for their commitment to sustainable business practices alone!

  3. stephanieconsiglio says:

So cute! Love this concept. So is it where you pay the $20 styling fee, they send you clothing and then you buy what you want and if you decide to not keep anything then you don’t get charged anything over the $20?

    • Correct! If you send everything back, you’re only charged $20. If you keep stuff the $20 is subtracted from the cost of the items you keep. And if you keep all five items they send you, you get 25% off the entire fix. 🙂

  4. The off-the-shoulder dress is so cute!

  5. Lauren @ The Bikini Experiment says:

I really like the button down shirt as well. Pricey yes, but if you love it and wear it all the time, it is worth it.

  6. I love that Bryer Silk Off Shoulder Dress by Amour Vert!
