Alternate title for this post: A Week of Covertly Taken Public Mirror Selfies.
I want to start doing more style-related blog posts because you all seem to enjoy them but mostly just for selfish reasons. Real talk: I work from home or at a fitness studio and I’m in a long-term relationship and I feel like I’m just settling into looking like a slob 24/7. And I don’t notice it until I have an event or a reason to actually put a little thought into what I’m wearing and it’s like Wow, I look so cute! I feel great about myself! Why don’t I do this more often?!
I don’t have a Beyonce budget to be wearing the newest workout gear every week so some of these outfits are boring, but knowing I was going to take a picture did make me put a little more thought into my clothes. It was fun! In these posts (which I’ll do monthly if you like them), I’ll also share what my workout was each day for anyone who’s interested.
I’m not training with a specific goal in mind right now so honestly there isn’t much strategy behind what I do day to day. I work out because I love it and it makes me feel good. I listen to my body and switch it up a lot. This week, my legs were so sore from my Tuesday workout that I had to take it pretty easy the following two days. Being sore can be satisfying, but this level of can’t-sit-down-on-the-toilet-without-wincing got a little annoying. I was debilitated! After I got sick in February, I admittedly was slacking majorly with working out for weeks, so that’s probably why I got my ass handed to me when I finally jumped back into it this week.
MONDAY

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Nike tank (old but this one is similar)
Reebok leggings
Adidas sneakers
On Monday I officially joined Equinox! I’m going to do a blog post soon on why I choose to join a gym after over eight years of going without a traditional membership, but for now we’ll just talk about what I wore. 😉
Sunday’s workout was hard so I kept things pretty light at the gym with a three-mile interval run on the treadmill and then a whole lot of stretching and foam rolling. The Adidas UltraBOOSTS I’m wearing are currently my go-to’s for running. The leggings were a gift from an event I attended last month and I think they’re so cute—Reebok is seriously stepping up their style game! They come in a predominantly tan version as well which I also like.
TUESDAY

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Lucy tank (old)
New Balance zip-up (old but I love this black bomber of theirs)
Michi leggings (old but these are very similar)
Adidas sneakers
True story: I took my mirror off the wall and moved it to the living room to take these pictures so you guys wouldn’t see how messy my bedroom is.
On Tuesday I started my day with Butt & Legs at Barry’s. It’s always a tough class, but this week it was particularly challenging—jello legs walking out of the studio! I’ve been wearing these Michi leggings on heavy rotation for years and still love them. They’re starting to pill around the butt though (my fault for being lazy and putting them in the dryer instead of hang-drying them) so it might be time to invest in a new pair.
WEDNESDAY

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Joah Brown tank
Reebok sweatshirt (old, but this hoodie by Reebok looks even more cozy and cute)
Nike leggings <– Sold out in the color I’m wearing, but available in dark gray. Also eyeing these colorblock Nike leggings with floral (how cute?!)
Nike sneakers
Wednesdays are my long teaching days (three classes in the morning, two in the afternoon) and I typically stay after my last class to take the next one on the schedule. My legs were SO SORE from Barry’s the previous day so I admittedly half-assed the leg section of the class I took. Great upper body and core workout though!
I got the leggings and white tank for 20% off during the Bandier semi-annual sale. The tank is a really high-quality, soft material that I’ll definitely wear with non-workout clothes. In fact, I wouldn’t do a sweaty workout in it because I’d hate for it to stain over time. The Nike MetCon sneakers I’m wearing are great for strength-training workouts, but the soles are a little too stiff for me to run in them. Last but definitely not least, I’m super into scrunchies right now so get ready to see a whole lot more of those. 😉
THURSDAY

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Puppies Make Me Happy tank (I cut it to this length)
Lululemon cropped hoodie (old – this one from Crabon38 is similar)
Levi’s oversized denim jacket
Lululemon leggings (also available in special edition gray & black)
Adidas sneakers
I was *still* so sore from Barry’s so I took Thursday easy. I taught two classes first thing in the morning and then headed to the gym. Equinox has a nice area to sit and do work so I did that for a while before getting in some quick core work and lots of stretching.
I obviously didn’t work out in a denim jacket, but I just had to share a picture because I’m so obsessed with it. I wear it embarrassingly frequently. I’ve had the Lululemon leggings for years and they’re still a favorite. They’re also available in a dark green that’s super cute. I love these Adidas 24/7 Training sneakers (really lightweight and comfortable) but they’re starting to lose their tread on the bottom and become slippery.
FRIDAY

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Spiritual Gangster tank (old but they have this same cut of tank in lots of new prints – peach, white & gold, black, dark blue)
Zella leggings (sold out, but these gray & white ones are cute)
Adidas sneakers
Finally I could walk normally again! At the gym I did an easy mile run on the treadmill to warm up then put myself through a quick med ball circuit that I shared on Facebook and will share on Instagram stories soon. After that I took a yoga class to finish up at the gym.
SATURDAY

OUTFIT DETAILS:
Reebok tank (old but this muscle tank of theirs is the same cut)
Alala leggings (old but check out some of their current collection—super cute brand!)
Adidas sneakers
I’m pretty shameless when it comes to snapping pictures in public, but it was way too crowded in Barry’s Saturday morning to get a full-body shot. I’m most comfortable working out in a muscle-cut tank and I have a few from Reebok like the one in this pic that I wear allll the time.
SUNDAY
Nothing even remotely resembling a workout today. My friend’s bachelorette party was the night before so I laid on the couch watching Real Housewives and napping all day (hangovers after age 25 are NO JOKE).

Love this post. Would like to more of the week in workout clothes.
would love to hear about your Equinox decision & also if you plan to still do Barrys etc. I’m currently on classpass/crappy gym combo and am thinking ofj ust committing to Equinox and their classes exclusively.
I’m still feeling out the classes at Equinox but I’ll do a blog post all about it in a couple weeks! 🙂
I’ve enjoyed your week of workout outfits. Workout clothes are definitely making a fashion statement these days over designer clothes. I’m in love with that white sweatshirt! I wish that it was still available to purchase.
