I’m by no means ready to move outside the city, but I am really starting to dream about having more space. This is year three of sharing a single closet with my boyfriend and at this point I’ve just resigned myself to living in one big pile of clothing (first world problems, I know—eye rolling is deserved). While some people fantasize about the Hemsworth brothers, I seriously spend my time daydreaming about an apartment with two closets.
When I first started using Stitch Fix, I liked being totally surprised by my stylist and wouldn’t leave any notes or direction for her. I’d also keep everything I liked even if I didn’t necessarily *need* it. But with a strict one-in-one-out policy on my closet now, I’ve been getting really specific with what I want lately and super selective with what I keep. For my latest Stitch Fix delivery, I left a note for my stylist requesting the following things:
- A spring trench
- Cropped hoodie
- High-rise jean shorts
Sometimes I’ll leave specific requests and the stylist will say in her notes that there wasn’t anything fitting the description, but this time around I hit the jackpot and got an option in every category I requested. All five items were 100% my style and if money and closest space weren’t a consideration, I would have totally kept all five.
April Stitch Fix Review
Adrianna Hoodie by LNA ($132)

also WEARING: Zara jeans // Sketchers slide-on shoes // Harlowe & Graham jacket (old)
I love the cutout detail on the neckline of this hoodie and you have no idea how soft it is. I could sleep in this thing it’s so cozy! I’d get a ton of use out of a black hoodie like this and it’s super cute as a layer under jackets, but ultimately I can live without it.
VERDICT: Return
Mylene Cropped Velvet Knit Hoodie by REV ($58)

also WEARING: Zella leggings (sold out)
This velvet crop hoodie is super fun and would look cute layered under a jean jacket. But when I requested a cropped hoodie, I had teaching in mind and I can just see this material being a disaster if you’re a little sweaty. It’s super cute, but since it’s more for style than function, I decided to pass on it.
VERDICT: Return
Dana Crossback French Terry Hoodie by Splendid ($128)

also WEARING: Lulus bodysuit // Joe’s Jeans (from a previous Stitch Fix delivery!) // Vans sneakers
This hoodie is so soft and comfortable and I love the cross-back detail. It’s hard to see in these pics, but the hood strings are rope and that little nautical touch makes this a perfect summer sweatshirt. I do already own a gray zip-up though so ultimately I can live without this.
VERDICT: Return
Toulouse Lightweight Trench by Vero Moda ($58)

also WEARING: Pistola jeans (from a previous Stitch Fix delivery!) // Franco Sarto booties (on sale for $72)
The material of this duster jacket is like kimono-meets-trench. I love the way it flows! And for only being $58 I’m super impressed with the quality. It might not get a ton of wear until the fall because it’s black, but I think it will then quickly become a go-to of mine. BTW I got the boyfriend jeans I’m wearing here in my last Stitch Fix delivery and am so obsessed with them—perfect for pairing with sock booties!
VERDICT: Keeper
Ewan Distressed Frayed Gem Denim Shorts by Joe’s Jeans ($118)

also WEARING: Ale by Alessandra top (on sale for $51) // Vans sneakers // MVMT sunglasses (get $15 off your first order with code nicoleperr)
These distressed jean shorts are super cute and fit well, but the waist isn’t high enough. I was really looking for shorts to pair with crop tops, bodysuits and bikini tops at the beach this summer. Side note: Let’s talk about how committed to the craft of blogging I am. Wearing sunglasses inside like a total d-bag for the sake of the outfit—such sacrifice! 😉
VERDICT: Return

Yes, I only kept one item, but I really did love this fix. So spot-on with my style and what I requested. Being a responsible adult with no closet space and bills to pay is really putting a damper on my shopping ya feel me?!
You can check out Stitch Fix and schedule your own delivery using any of the links in this post. There are also gift cards available on their site which would make for a great Mother’s Day present! I’ve gotten both my mom and Joe’s mom into Stitch Fix and they love it!
What would you have kept from my fix?

I love the item you kept! I can’t wear it, but I love it.
There’s a cropped hoodie I am obsessed with (because, for me, coming in at 4’11”, a cropped hoodie for normal people hits me, being the Sasquatch That I Am, right at the waist…). I haven’t pulled the trigger, but man oh man I love this one: https://www.reebok.com/us/cropped-zip-hoodie/CD3783.html
Never heard about Stitch Fix, like your collection specially, hoodie, very smart look.
I’m so glad you kept that trench. It looks magical haha
You look chic AF in the outfit with the black trench
