I’m rounding up five weighted core workouts from the archives—pick one and try it this week! Most are on the quicker side so they’d make a great finisher to a run or longer workout. And just because I don’t have a new workout for you this week, doesn’t mean I didn’t put up a new-to-YouTube video. The first old workout below is now officially on the ‘tube.

1. 15-Minute Core Workout with a Dumbbell

I just updated this workout with a video so you can follow along with me! You’ll just need one medium weight and if it gets too hard at any point, all exercises can be done just bodyweight as well.

2. Weighted Core Workout (Time Pyramid)

This is a TOUGH one. It uses a time pyramid structure so that each set you complete is shorter than the last. I’d recommend having a second, lighter weight on hand so that you can drop down if it gets to be too hard.

3. Standing Core Workout

You can use a medicine ball or a dumbbell for this (or a sandbell, really any weight you can grip comfortably in two hands). Great workout if you want to work your core without getting down on the floor.

4. Med Ball Core Workout

No video for this one (yet), but this workout from the archives is a good one! All you’ll need is a medicine ball.

5. Resistance Band Core Workout

In this one, the added weight is coming from a resistance band. It’ll activate your lower body (specifically abductors), but in doing so, challenges your core as well. No video for this one either yet, but as always detailed pictures are provided.
