One day I’ll be a good blogger who posts things on time and celebrates her “blogiversary” with chic oversized numerical balloons and knows wtf conturing is but that day is not today, my friends. It’s probably not tomorrow or next week or any time this year either if we’re being completely honest here. So in true P&I style, enjoy my (truncated) roundup of December favorites on January 10th. Close enough! 😉

Facial at Balans Organic Spa
Balans uses Maria Akerberg products, a Swedish skincare line with extremely high standards when it comes to organic (a term that can be very loosely interpreted in the good ol’ USA). I actually ended up buying a travel size bottle of the face wash and using it while in Costa Rica and New Jersey this month–I LOVE it! For a while now, I’ve been reluctantly using Cetaphil because I have to admit it really does help prevent breakouts for me, but constantly searching for a more natural cleanser to replace it. The Maria Akerberg face wash is super gentle and kept my oily, breakout-prone skin under control, which is rare–usually as soon as I stop using Cetaphil, I break out. I think I have a keeper on my hands!
These thigh-high leg warmers were a gift from ToeSox and I already want to order more pairs in different colors. When I’m teaching, I like to pull them partially over my feet to keep them warm and when I’m walking around the city in the freezing cold, I like to pull them all the way up so that my legs are essentially wearing sweaters. I love them!
These Sweaty Betty Leggings + Hoodie and Reebok Skyscrape Sneakers
Ladies and gentlemen, you’re looking at the most comfortable outfit ever. These Contour Workout Leggings are SO SOFT. High waistband, soft, stretchy material that’s thick enough to be supportive–I love them. Same goes for the Elite Seamless Run Top. And for walking around and everyday wear, I’m obsessed with the Reebok Skyscrape. I wouldn’t workout in them, but I wear them teaching sometimes because they’re so comfy.
Zara Terez Long John Leggings
I love these leggings from my friends at ZT! They look like long johns (so perfect for winter workouts) but in spandex. And because I’ve recently become a Zara Terez ambassador (whoop!) I get to give you guys 25% off any order. Use the code nicole25 any time you want.
also wearing Lululemon leg warmers (old), Zara Terez zipper sleeve cardigan
Stephie Chic Bracelets
My girl Steph (take her spin class at Vélo-City–she’s the bomb!) makes the cutest beaded bracelets and gave me a set this month that I wear basically every day. Check out her Instagram to see the other styles and ask about getting your own–she makes them with tassels, too, and I’m obsessed!
Full trip recap with travel recommendations coming this week! Shortly after getting back I realized I left my GoPro at the last resort we stayed at (DAMNIT), and was holding out hope of getting it returned. That was a long shot and now I’ve accepted that it (and most the pictures on it) are gone for good, so I’ll just have to make my blog post without the trendy wide angle shots. Womp.
Btone’s North End Location Opening
I’m so excited for Btone to have another studio location in the city! And it’s gorgeous. I’ll be teaching there Tuesday & Wednesday mornings (as well as Friday mid mornings for the next couple months). These new shifts mean I’ll be dropping my Wednesday night shift at the Back Bay location which is sad (I’ll miss the clients!) but mostly a relief. I’m a morning person 110% and man those late evenings teaching kicked my ass.
Christmas with the Kids
For anyone just tuning into the blog, I should clarify that if I’m referring to “the kids” I mean Joe’s nephews and niece. I definitely do not have any children (haha) but I love these three kiddos so, so much. We loved being with them for the holiday and watching them go crazy over their presents.
I’m clearly not in my early twenties anymore because the thought of buying an overpriced ticket to some shitty club in the city for NYE sounds absolutely miserable. Last year Joe and I just went to a dive bar to ring in 2015 and this year had “bottle of wine and the couch” written all over it. That is until we got an invite to our friends’ wedding! It was such a perfect way to ring in 2016–great company, delicious dinner, dance floor and last but not least, open bar. 😉 I threw together an outfit last minute because the jumpsuit I ordered didn’t fit, so I went with a Ronny Kobo one-shoulder crop top from Shopbop (sold out unfortunately), high-waisted flowy draped pants from Anthropologie (old) and a cape blazer from a recent Stitch Fix (better pics of it in this post). I kept the cape blazer on most of the night (and buttoned up in the church haha).
Alrighty, that’s all for now! I’ll be back later today though with a yummy crock pot recipe. 🙂
