Cinnamon Sweet Potato “Dessert” Juice

Cinnamon Sweet Potato "Dessert" JuiceI normally drink juice first thing in the morning to start my day off with a big boost of nutrients. For that reason, on a typical day, I’ll make some sort of green juice. But the more indulgent juices—sweet potato juice, cashew juice, all-fruit juice, etc.—are great to have on hand if you’re doing any sort of cleanse and want to feel really satisfied. Typically these are the last juice you have during the day so that you go to bed feeling full and happy.

This juice is a total treat. The sweet potato gives it a thicker, creamier texture, and the cinnamon makes you feel like you’re drinking some sort of seasonal fall dessert.

I just started making smoothies with sweet potatoes and love the thick texture they bring. My favorite sweet juice would definitely have a carrot/cinnamon flavor much like this.

Nice recipe! I try to mix veggies and fruits in my drinks: cucumber, apple and basil is a combination I love.

  3. In Poland we don’t eat raw potatoes. That’s seem strange but looks curiously. I must try this recipe.

  4. Kristina @ Appetite for Instruction says:

Ooh, would this be possible to do in the Vitamix?

    • Hmm not sure how the sweet potato would turn out. It’d probably be very thick/pulpy in a blender vs. juicer, but then again, I’ve never made juice in a Vitamix so what do I know haha. If you try it out, let me know how it goes!

Wow, such a simple recipe. Thanks so much for sharing, can’t wait to try it out!

  6. I’ve tried juicing sweet potatoes and it turned out horribly. It had a chalky taste. This sounds like a yummy, recipe, though! I’ll have to try it again.

    • Same chalky for me too hmm

I just juiced my sweet potatoes, pear and carrots without the cinnamon added a bit of parsley and spinach it was yummy and smooth. I’d try a higher speed juicer, mine didn’t come out chunky.
